ACTIVITIES


  • IFCA is an all India association of manufacturers of Flexible Packaging materials, Cartons manufacturers and allied industries.The association was founded in 1965 under the name of "Paper Film and Foil converters Association (PFFCA)which was subsequently renamed as Indian Flexible Packaging & Folding Carton Manufacturers Association (IFCA).The association is working in the interest of its members and undertakes many activities for the benefit of the members. Some of the recent activities are given below.
  • Organisation: Association is run by a Managing Committee comprising of the prominent members from the industry. Association also has a full-fledged secretariat office supporting the managing committee for day to day functioning on the association.
  • Members: Association has many prominent companies from Flexible and Carton industry as members. Association also has associate members who are connected with the industry as suppliers of materials like films, adhesives, ink and also as manufacturers of machineries for the flexible and carton industry.
  • Innovation Awards: Association encourages the members and the user industry to innovate in packaging materials for end user applications. Members submit their best packaging materials which are evaluated by the expert judges. The winners are presented with trophy and a certification for the innovations. This is a very competitive event and more than 100 entries are received for evaluation. A grand ceremony is organised where eminent chief guest is requested for the award distribution. The last award function was held in Mumbai on 13th May 2016
  • Packaging exhibitions: The association has tie ups with major international exhibitions and seminars held in India and abroad. In 2016, the association has tied up with Messe Dusseldorf, the well known German exhibitors for their exhibition in India in December, 2016. Members of the association get concessional rates for their participation in the exhibition. Similar exhibitions are held from time to time in India and abroad where our members have chance to exhibit their products.
  • Seminars, training, educational activities: The association organises various programs for the benefit of members. Programs can be organised as per specific requests of the members or group of members with the help from experts from the industry.
  • Representations on behalf of the industry: The association makes the representation on behalf of the industry if the issues are important to the members. Recently, the association has taken up the case regarding ban on use of plastic products in Uttaranchal state. Also, a representation is made regarding anti-dumping duty on aluminium foil.
  • Quarterly News Letters: The association publishes quarterly magazine which is circulated to all the members. The magazine covers latest news about the industry and the products related to the industry. It also gives platform for members to advertise their products.
  • Website: The association has its own website. Activities of the association are captured in the website. In future, the members will be able to advertise their products on the association website.
